  21. There is a socket that is not marked so it will be referred to as D501.

  24.  D501 only installed       :  Scan rate of 7/14 cps
  25. *D503 only installed       :  Scan rate of 8/16 cps
  26.  D501 and D503 installed   :  Scan rate of 10/20 cps (horray!)
  27. *D502 installed            :  Disable 823.95-850.95 MHz and
  28.                                       868.95-895.95 MHz
  29.  D502 removed              :  Full coverage from 760-1300 MHz
  30.  D504 installed            :  Normal spacing for all bands.
  31. *D504 removed              :  Enable 30 kHz spacing in areas
  32.                               restored by D502 removal

  39. 1.  Remove diode from "513" to get excluded 800 MHz freqs.
  40. 2.  Install a 1N914 diode in "514" to increase scan rate to 10/20
  41.     channels-per-second.
  42. 3.  Install a 1N914 diode in "510" to get the extra 100 channels.
  43. 4.  Remove diode from "D-44" to restore missing frequencies in th
  44.     806 to 960MHz band.
  45. 5.  Remove diode from "D-45" to restore coverage from 68 to 88MHz.

  47. In step 5 above, I have no idea what this is for.  My 2004 came
  48. from the store already scanning this range, and this was the first
  49. I had ever heard of it.  The same goes for step 4.  When I removed
  50. D513 (as in step 1), I got those freqs back.  Perhaps the user who
  51. originally posted these had a radio from a different production
  52. run.  All I can "vouch" for is steps 1, 2, and 3.
